Parking First-year students are not allowed to have cars on campus. For information on visitor and special event parking, go to jmu.edu/parking or call 540-568-3300. For information on parking during Athletics events, go to jmusports.com. Bus service The Harrisonburg Department of Public Transportation provides free bus service for all JMU students. Bus routes begin at 7:30 a.m. and continue until about 11 p.m. on weekdays, with reduced schedules on weekends. View bus schedules at hdpt.com. You can also access bus information through the MyStop app. The app features real-time bus arrival times and a search to find the best route for your destination. Biking Many bike paths and bike lanes are available throughout campus. Register your bike at jmu.edu/transportation. The website will guide you through the registration process. Getting to and from JMU In addition to HDPT, several bus companies provide trans- portation to local destinations, as well as airports and cities both in and out of state.
