This is officially the beginning of your JMU experience… you’ll be moving into your residence hall, reconnecting with your OPA and academic advisor, meeting your First yeaR Orientation Guide and Resident Adviser while immersing yourself in academic and social programs to help you become acclimated to campus. Here’s an idea of what is expected of you: ◆ Attend and actively participate in events ◆ Engage in discussions with faculty ◆ Meet with your academic advisor to prepare for the start of classes ◆ Be prepared to discuss your views and opinions about the It’s Complicated scenario
Once you move in to the residence hall, you are expected to be on campus and participate in Weeks of Welcome. Learn more about what you can expect and download GuideBook to create your own schedule within this step. Get ahead by becoming familiar with some of your resources now on Pages 42-52. How will I meet my FROG group? Your FROG group will be made up of students who live in your residence hall, or one nearby. You will meet your FROGs on the same night you move in.
