At JMU, the time when you are allowed to register for classes is called your enrollment appointment. You will be able to enroll in classes beginning June 6. The exact time will be posted in MyMadison on May 30. Once your Enrollment Appointment opens, it will stay open through June 14 at 11:59 p.m. By now, you should have communicated with your aca- demic advisor about course suggestions and reviewed the six modules in the Prepare for Class Enrollment step to educate yourself about transfer credit and degree requirements at JMU. You should be ready to use MyMadison to enroll in your classes. Don’t have an Enrollment Appointment? Be sure to complete your Orientation Reservation and Declaring a Major step. Learn more on Page 6. Enrolling in classes Once your enrollment appointment begins, log into MyMadison and create your schedule. You will need to reg- ister for at least 12 credits to be considered full-time; work with your advisor to determine the ideal number of credits for you based on your academic goals. To enroll in classes, go to mymadison.jmu.edu. Head to the Student Center, which is the central location for your grades, transcripts, financial information, holds, to-do items and more. Reviewing your schedule Your academic advisor will meet with you during Orientation to review and confirm your class schedule. You will be able to make adjustments that day if needed. If you want to make any changes after that day, notify your advisor so you can receive their input to avoid making mistakes. Plan to attend Orientation enrolled in a fall sched- ule of 12-18 credit hours.

Putting classes in your shopping cart early does not reserve you a seat. Course availability varies during your enrollment window. We recommend waiting to add courses until your enrollment window has opened. After you have added courses to your cart, remember to enroll in them!
