If there is no bike lane, bikes are permitted to use the car lane in the direction of traffic the bike is traveling. Additionally, bikes are permitted on sidewalks and multi-use paths everywhere on campus. Many buildings and parking decks offer bike racks. JMU strongly recommends wearing a helmet when riding on campus.
