◆  Understanding Community Expectations — Information for you to make healthy and informed choices regarding alcohol, drugs, relationships and safety as a member of the JMU community. ◆  Hazing Education and Prevention — As you join the JMU community, this online hazing education training

◆  Better Conversations Together — Prepares students for active participation in a democratic society by building skills for thoughtful engagement across differences through online guided learning modules and a peer-facilitated delib- erative forum on a complex public issue. ◆  Human Trafficking Awareness — Helps you recognize the signs of human trafficking, understand how it happens and learn how to respond and seek help safely. ◆  Active Threat Management and Prevention — Teaches practical strategies to prevent, recognize and respond to active threat situations to protect yourself and others. ◆  AlcoholEdu — Uses personalized feedback and student stories to show how substance use can impact your JMU experience, helping you make informed choices and look out for others. ◆  Sexual Assault Prevention — Learn about fostering healthy relationships and how to recognize and respond to sexual assault and other forms of sexual harassment prohib- ited at JMU.

Success Programs JMU provides many resources to sup- port your success as you start your college career. The Incoming Student Skills & Atti- tudes Questionnaire (ISSAQ) provides you, your advisor and JMU an important snap- shot of your strengths and opportunities for growth. JMU offers other success initiatives including student success coaching, an early student success system and more! Learn about all of these opportunities through your New Student Checklist.

In August, while you have access to your Checklist, you can begin these trainings through Canvas. After the semester begins, you will continue to have access and should plan to complete them by September 9.
