Lead Engage with others in tackling environmental challenges. ◆ Get involved in one of JMU’s student organizations that conserves natural resources. ◆ Take part in Alternative Break Programs and volunteer opportunities that improve environment quality. ◆ Participate in civic engagement programs that prepare students to contribute to environmental sustainability.
Do more Make choices that support JMU’s sustainability goals. ◆ Prevent waste: refuse items that you don’t need and take only the food you plan to eat. ◆ Eat environmentally-friendly meals: select Dining Services’ menu options that are labeled vegetarian, vegan and/or plant- forward. ◆ Prioritize sustainable transportation: when selecting on or off-campus, second-year housing, plan around walking, biking and taking the bus.
