What’s a typical day like? Weeks of Welcome will begin by offering programs and events similar to what you will experience daily during the academic year. Most of the day you will be engaged in aca- demic programs to prepare you for your first semester of college. Some of the program- ming is mandatory, including the assessments that are used to understand and improve the quality of the education being offered by JMU. Once classes begin, intentional programs and events will continue to be offered to engage and support you in this new community. Some programs will require your par- ticipation while others will be optional. Refer to this step to learn about these opportu- nities and participation expectations.
